“The odds were against me all along, but I just wouldn’t go away.” Country music rebel, Creed Fisher, defied the odds, going from rock bottom to chart-topping on his own terms independently. Like a steely-eyed gunslinger from a Sergio Leone western, he is a man of few words and lets his music tell his story.
Fisher’s songwriting harkens back to the roots of genuine outlaw country music, taking listeners back to a place and time when the fine art of storytelling flowed effortlessly. While that element seems to have gotten lost in the glitzy slush of modern times, he’s never been one to sell his soul to the trends. Keeping it real means writing songs that real people can relate to; the good, bad and even the ugly. “A big part of my music is patriotic and for the working class. I relate to my music because I lived it.”
Now, Fisher ups the ante, joining forces with renegade record label Dirt Rock Empire, for the highly-anticipated release of his newest album, Whiskey and The Dog, which he promises, “A rollercoaster of emotions; laughs, cheers with drinks and songs that will make you want to cry.”
Unapologetic, patriotic and passionate, the album stays true to Creed Fisher’s unwavering form, speaking to and for his fans. “People will be like,’I’m glad he said that’ and ‘He said things I wanna say but can’t say.
KC Johns
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Hernando, Mississippi, KC Johns was immersed in music early on. Named after KC and the Sunshine Band and inspired by artists including Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks, and Sheryl Crow, Johns formed a band by the age of 17. In 2017, she packed up her guitar and headed for Nashville, singing on Broadway stages before landing an opportunity to perform with Carnival Cruise Lines. What was meant to be a six-month contract turned into several years of international touring, honing her stage presence, and connecting with global audiences. KC Johns has built an impressive performance résumé since then. She was featured in Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors at Dollywood, opened for major artists like Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Randy Houser, Trailer Choir, and Morgan Wade, and performed at esteemed events, including Texas Motor Speedway, Big As Texas Festival, HWY 30 Music Fest, and Country Cruisin’.
With dynamic, compelling vocals and an undeniable determination, KC delivers infectious country-rock that feels like a whiskey-soaked night in your favorite honky-tonk. Think Miranda Lambert’s grit, Sheryl Crow’s ease, and Brandi Carlile’s soul, wrapped into a sound that’s both instantly familiar and unmistakably her own.
Backwoods bravado, patriot’s pride, country soul, keg-thumping beats — these are the qualities that Moonshine Bandits have championed since they began their journey. Armed with a hybrid arsenal of country and hip hop fusion, the California duo of Dusty ‘Tex’ Dahlgren and Brett ‘Bird’ Brooks are back with the grittiest, spirited and distinctly grass-roots release of their sixteen year campaign of musical badassery – “Gold Rush.”
Since their formation in Los Banos California in 2003 the Moonshine Bandits have continued a campaign of crossover genre-bending musical mayhem that appeals to the eclectic, color-outside-the-lines tastes of listeners, aka The Shiners, and they fiercely refuse to have their tastes confined and filed into categories. “Our musical style has always been full throttle and in your face,” says Moonshine Bandit Tex. Just like the rumrunners, bootleggers, smugglers and outlaws of old – the Moonshine Bandits provide a supply of the goods for the demand, defying the mandates and trends of mainstream pop culture.
