Michael Schenker

Award winning guitar legend Michael Schenker will release a new studio album entitled “Bridge The Gap” on Friday, November 22nd. released byin-akustik, the album features Schenker’s Temple of Rock band which consists of ex-Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell and bassist Francis Buchholz, vocalist Doogie White (ex-Rainbow) and Wayne Findlay (guitar, keyboards).

The new album features 13 hard-hitting, adrenalin fuelled melodic rock ‘n’ roll songs that showcase Schenker’s distinctive and explosive guitar playing, valiantly underpinned by the ferocious rythym section of Rarebell and Buchholz, marking the first time Schenker, Rarebell and Buchholz appeared on the same album since the Scorpions’ 1979 Lovedrive.

Scottish vocalist Doogie White, who co-wrote the album with Schenker, soars across every song and stamps his enthusiatic personality with every note and phrase. Wayne Findlay adds another dimension to the dynamic, classic Schenker sound with his Dean 7 string guitar and keyboard orchestrations.

Bridge The Gap is a thunderous, explosive collection of brand new songs steeped in shades of dark and light. Musically and lyrically, the new album shows a re-energized guitarist at the top of his game, surrounded by top drawer musicians.

Gundriver

The way Tom Potter, guitarist and founder of L.A. based hard rock powerhouse Gundriver, sees it, joining the U.S. Army was the best thing he’s ever done. But the way his hard driving musical plans are shaping up with his high octane ensemble of Scott Siegel (vocals), Crazy Tomes (bass/vocals) and Alex Rivas (drums), deciding to leave active duty after 12 years, move to L.A. to train in Audio Engineering and launch his musical career is quickly emerging as a close second.

The intense upshot of this risk? A rip roaring rock n’ roll outfit—amped up with riffs, groove, thunderous beats and soaring vocals–gearing up to release its full length debut Gundriver No. 1. The project was engineered at Soulution Studios in Los Angeles by Jim Morgan, whose credits include George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Cannabis, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Billy Gibbons and Billy Preston.

Taz Taylor Band

In January 1997 UK-born Taz Taylor took a leap of faith and boarded a plane to Los Angeles with nothing more than a guitar, a backpack and roughly $2,000…

He spent much of his first year in the USA as a long haul truck driver, criss-crossing the country countless times in an 18-wheeler and spending the downtime in his sleeper berth practicing guitar. Eventually he settled in San Diego CA and set about recording his debut instrumental album “Caffeine Racer” which was released in July 2004. A band was formed and live shows commenced.

Caffeine Racer got the attention of legendary vocalist Graham Bonnet, most notable for working with the best guitarists in rock (Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai) and they set about recording the Taz Taylor Band album “Welcome To America” which was released on the UK label Escape Music in Aug 2006. Present TTB drummer Val Trainor joined immediately after the WTA sessions were completed.

International tours followed in 2007 and 2008, taking the band to UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and Czech Republic.

In 2009 the band recruited another ex-MSG vocalist, Keith Slack for the “Straight Up” album, also on Escape Music, and also featuring a guest appearance from Deep Purple’s Don Airey on keyboards.

2010 saw the band returning to Taz’s instrumental roots with the release of “Big Dumb Rock”.
Current TTB bassist Barney Firks joined immediately after the recording of this album and the band played a string of dates to promote BDR opening for MSG (4 times), Uli Jon Roth (4 times), UFO (twice), Gary Hoey (twice), Pat Travers (twice), Dokken, Skid Row, Great White, Molly Hatchet and LA Guns.

2014 saw the release of “Deja Voodoo” an all instrumental offering of 8 songs and a string of USA dates with Lynch Mob, Wishbone Ash, Tony McAlpine, Alan Holdsworth, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen and Ace Frehley, as well as 8 dates in the UK
