Born on March 19, 2010, Liam was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure, and doctors at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington recommended a life-saving kidney transplant. Proceeds raised will cover costs associated with Liam’s condition.

An estimated $125,000 is being raised by California volunteers and we need your help! 100% of all funds raised will be used for transplant-related expenses.

Liam is the son of Reid and Vanessa Houck. Liam’s father, Reid, is a Marine Corps Captain based at MCAS Miramar. His mother, Vanessa, separated from the Air Force to take care of Liam. The Houck family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association. The organization’s priority is to assure that no child is denied a transplant or excluded from a transplant waiting list due to lack of funds.

With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant patients are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. In California, volunteers are raising funds for transplant patients like baby Liam.
