Hed PE

Huntington Beach, CA’s (hed) p.e. (the “pe” stands for “Planet Earth”) was founded in 1994 by frontman Jahred (aka M.C.U.D., aka Jerred Shaine), whose goal was to fuse the region’s long-standing punk rock heritage with G-funk-inflected hip-hop — a sound he labeled “G-punk.” Three years and a self-financed 1995 EP entitled Church of Realities later, (hed) p.e. (also comprising lead guitarist Wesstyle, rhythm guitarist Chizad, bassist Mawk, drummer B.C., and DJ Product on turntables and samples) released their eponymous debut through Jive Records, then hit the road with Ozzfest and bands like Korn, Static-X, and System of a Down. A second album, Broke, followed in the year 2000, and a third, Blackout, in 2003, after which (hed) p.e. switched labels from Jive to Koch, and underwent something of an overhaul (welcoming new guitarist Jaxon and drummer Moke) prior to recording their fourth album, 2005’s Only in Amerika. The all-new Back 2 Base X and the Best of (hed) Planet Earth compilation arrived in 2006, followed by Flat Bill Hat in the summer of 2007, and New World Orphans in 2009. A second compilation titled Major Pain 2 Indee Freedom: The Best of Hed P.E. was released in 2010, featuring a new track and a limited-edition DVD of the group performing live in Los Angeles.

SOiL

Formed in 1997 Chicago Heavy Rock band SOiL quickly took the scene by storm.. After their first independent release, the band was the first rock group signed by the legendary Clive Davis to J Records. The band achieved mainstream success with their major label debut “Scars” in 2001. SOiL is best known for the classic hits “Halo”, “Unreal”, and “Redefine”.

The band went through brief line up changes until reuniting with original vocalist Ryan McCombs in October 2011 for a tour commemorating the tenth anniversary of their landmark album “Scars”. The band permanently rejoined with McCombs after his departure from Texas act Drowning Pool in late 2011. The line up is currently completed with fellow original members Tim King (Bass) and Adam Zadel (Guitar). The band has sold over one million records worldwide with their album “Scars” hitting Silver in the United Kingdom following the anniversary tour. SOiL’s first ever DVD entitled “Re-LIVE-ing The Scars” was released May 8, 2012 and was recorded live in London, England during the band’s sold out 2011 UK Tour.

Sunflower Dead

SUNFLOWER DEAD hail from the Southern California Metal/Hard Rock scene and are no strangers to having their brand of music draw attention. The band is a rebirth of sorts. Three-fifths of the band rise from the ashes of former nationally recognized touring acts DROID and Two Hit Creeper. They are rounded out by additional band members who have toured internationally with Buckethead and In This Moment. Their former bands have earned national recognition by touring alongside Korn, Linkin Park and the Vans Warped Tour. SUNFLOWER DEAD are no strangers to the commitment needed or drive required to win over fans with their own brand of hard rock.
