Yngwie Malmsteen

Yngwie Malmsteen was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 30, 1963. The youngest child in a household that included his mother Rigmor, sister Ann Louise, and brother Bjorn, Yngwie originally had no interest in music. However, on September 18, 1970, Yngwie saw a TV special on the death of guitar iconoclast Jimi Hendrix. Seven-year-old Yngwie watched with awe as Hendrix blasted the audience with torrents of feedback and sacrificed his guitar in flames. The day Jimi Hendrix died, the guitar-playing Yngwie was born. More history…

Recognition of Yngwie’s place in music history continues to come in. In Time Magazine, Yngwie found himself included as one of the “10 Greatest Electric Guitar Players.” Near the end of the year, Yngwie and his management company decided to begin releasing rare archival concert footage. The first was Yngwie in Korea, shot during his 2001 War to End All Wars Tour, in Seoul, South Korea. And that, asserts Yngwie, is just the tip of the iceberg of things to come!

Gary Hoey

World renowned rock guitarist Gary Hoey takes on the Blues with his new album, “Deja Blues,” to be released in November 2012 on Wazoo Music Group. “This is an album of original blues songs I’ve wanted to record for a long time. The Blues has always been near and dear to my heart, I have so much respect for it. When I’m recording a blues song, it’s a 5 minute journey and you can’t take a breath, you can’t keep punching in the recording button to fix stuff or it loses the vibe.”

With a collection of 18 albums and a #5 Billboard Rock hit with “Hocus Pocus” it’s no wonder Gary Hoey is listed as one of the top 100 guitarists of all time. Gary’s clients have included Walt Disney films, ESPN, New Line Cinema, and scoring the Roller Coaster “California Screaming” songs placed in “Office Space”, “Deck The Halls” with Danny Devito, Beethoven III (The dog movie) Endless Summer II full score.

Hoey has toured and traded licks with the likes of Jeff Beck, Brian May of Queen, Ted Nugent, Joe Satriani, The Doobie Brothers, Foreigner, Styx, Steve Vai, Peter Frampton, and Dick Dale.

Bumblefoot

In his own words: Since the early 90’s as a recording artist, I’ve released 9 CDs, a live DVD, numerous appearances on comp CDs and as a guest performer on other albums. Been on the cover of a few guitar mags over the last 10 years, have done international headlining tours and festivals, and have been my own songwriter, band, studio, engineer, producer, manager, record label, promoter, publisher, publicist, booking agent, accountant… all of it. The latest Bumblefoot albums are “Abnormal” (July 2008) and an acoustic ep “Barefoot” (Dec. 2008). In 2011 I began releasing a song a month, covers and originals, each song including instrumental mixes, lead guitar transcriptions and backing tracks, and multi-track stems to make your own mix.

Been a member of Guns N’ Roses, touring since May 2006. Sold-out shows around the world, headlining festivals with crowds of 150,000. Recording with them since Oct ’06, we released the “Chinese Democracy” album November 2008.

I’ve worked as a songwriter for other artists, for TV jingles, theme songs and background music. I’ve also written for classical instruments and orchestras. I’ve been hired by bands/labels for the past 20 years as a producer. This has included writing, arranging and performing, usually engineering. As a songwriter and producer, I have experience in pop, R&B, hip-hop, funk, disco, electronic, classical, opera, blues, folk, jazz, swing, Latin, Middle-Eastern, new-age, lounge, rock, progressive, industrial, metal, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s retro. Last cool things I did were 24-7 Spyz “Face The Day” CD, Return To Earth’s “Automata” & “Captains Of Industry” CDs (ft. Chris Pennie – drummer of Coheed, formerly Dillinger Escape Plan), and a rock re-mix of rapper Hurricane’s “Abaybay”. Full bio…
